Riverbend Ponds Natural Area is a popular area in the city of Fort Collins. It has several former gravel mine ponds. There are about 3 miles of interconnected trails that wind around the ponds, next to the Poudre River and through the wetlands. It is also a good birding area.
For simplicity, the stats are for a loop that starts at the parking area on Prospect Rd and loops around the big pond in the middle of the natural area. This loop will allow you to see the ponds, wetlands and river. Check out the trail map to see all the trail options.
