The Horsettooth Falls Trail is nice, relatively easy hike in Horsetooth Mountain Open Space. The trail doesn't gain much elevation overall but there is some up and down during the hike. It crosses a pleasant stream at around 1 mile and then climbs before the spur trail to the falls. The falls are fairly tall with a small stream of water tumbling down into a small pool. If you want to extend your hike a little, at the spur to Horsetooth Falls you can take the Spring Creek Trail a short distance to up above the falls, where you'll get some great views of the surrounding landscape. Horsetooth Mountain Open Space has 29 miles of trails, which you can connect to for more hiking.
