Bluebird Lake is a nice alpine lake in the Wild Basin area of Rocky Mountain National Park. This trail passes other nice features on the way such as the Calypso Cascades and Ouzel Falls. The first part of the trail travels mostly along a creek and on to Ouzel Falls. A little ways after Ouzel Falls the views really start to open up and you can see various peaks. The trail continues to climb up to Bluebird Lake where you can see the lake and there are great views of the terrain below. This is a long hike with a lot of elevation gain and might make for a better day trip from a backcountry camping site such as Ouzel Lake.
